The Game Gear composers must've had it tough when they were asked to create Ecco music on the Game Gear. Since the music has always been somewhat different and needed a lot of instruments with crystal clear sounds the Game Gear gave only minor possibilities and many limits to fulfil these tasks. Still, they made a fair enough job of it. These songs are nothing you would like to listen to every day, but there are also some gems in these soundtracks. Especially in Ecco - The Tides of Time there are some nice tracks which are completely different from the Genesis version.

These files use the special Game Gear music format "VGM". To play them you need to download and install Nullsoft Winamp and the VGM Plugin. After you have installed Winamp just doubleclick the VGM Plugin EXE File and it will automatically choose the correct Path where it needs to be installed. You might need to restart Winamp to be able to play VGMs.
