Also the CD soundtrack of the second Ecco game was composed by Spencer Nilsen. Like for the Genesis versions he also changed the style of the music. You can hear many whale and dolphin voices in the background and the instruments seem even stronger than the soundtrack to the first CD game. No matter what I will say now, this soundtrack is a piece of art, and I prefer it to all other Ecco soundtracks. However, I sometimes thought that the music didn't really flow with the game and went by its own. The whale voices are also sometimes too heavy. And some tracks didn't really fit their levels anymore either, like in the dark vortex future I expected eerier tracks. But that doesn't mean that this soundtrack is bad, I just needed to express how it fits the game! I like it best of them all, and like the prequel it's great to relax or just have it played in the background!
