Ecco DotF Prototype from 2000-04-08

Sorry, very old and rubbish digicam-pic!

Thanks to Maurice Molyneaux, who kindly provided us his personal image, we present you a prototype version of Ecco DotF. This version is only a couple of weeks away from the official release, but contains enough differences to make it interesting. The most intriguing change is the very different soundtrack. It contains tracks from the never-before heard soundtrack version by Attila Heger - before it was ultimately canned in favor of Tim Follin's implement.

Other than that there are only minor differences. The game is practically close-to finish. So this image is a very interesting thing for those who always wanted to replay Ecco DotF and have an alternative soundtrack version from a different developement stage!

To play these game you will need a working dreamcast, a CD writing program that can handle .CDI images and a CD-R disc. The image is self-bootable, so if you burnt it correctly your Dreamcast will start it like an actual game. Search the internet for further information if you need help with writing the image. You may also use an emulator, if you know how to use it.

Ecco DotF E3 Demo (1999) Title Screen

The 1999 E3 Demo is currently the earliest build of Ecco DotF, however it is unplayable and only shows a couple scenes. It's still one of the first glimpses at the game (not even the full title was revealed back then) and worth looking at for every Ecco fan. Read more about it in our article! Kudos to Bananabreak for ripping.
